Real Kids Real Food ages 3-6 Club 2021 Counselor
I am currently enrolled in a 4+1 program through my university for a Master of Public Health (MPH) and have really enjoyed taking public health classes along with my undergraduate curriculum. In my free time, I like to read, watch movies, prepare food, and learn new languages. I have experience teaching English at ESL workshops in Mexico and Korea, and I am interested in working in health education after I graduate. I love learning about nutrition and incorporating new recipes and tips into my own diet, so I’m really excited to be a part of this program and can’t wait to be a counselor for the Real Kids Real Food 3-6 year old Club!

Biology minor
Real Kids Real Food Age 3-6 Club 2021 Counselor
Hello, my name is Saffi. I am a senior at Brandeis University studying biology and interdisciplinary health with the hopes of someday becoming a primary care physician and advocate for women’s health. It is my hope that by educating, advising and treating my patients in a way that involves nutrition and lifestyle adjustments, I can help them gain some control over their own wellness. In my free time I love to cook, eat, garden, dance and make things with my hands like knitting or drawing. I also play the violin and cello, and love music almost as much as I love food! At school, I have enjoyed getting involved with clubs, hanging out with friends, and going on long bike rides around town and along the Charles River when the weather is nice. I am so excited to meet you all and learn about food together!

Hello! I am Beth, a Junior at Dickinson College. I believe that everyone learns well in a good environment, and that starts with health: physically, mentally, and socially. I love food for its ability to connect people with each other and our environment, to convey culture and heritage, and to grant us power. Some of my favorite foods are miso soup, cherry tomatoes, mom’s bread, and anything to do with sweet potato! On my own time, I like watching anime, solving puzzles, and researching how to build a better future. I’m so excited to prepare food with this year’s students!

Health Science Major
Real Kids Real Food 2021 Marketing Intern
I am passionate about urban health issues, including preventable chronic diseases like diabetes and obesity. I’ve always known the importance of nutritious eating and exercise. Since becoming a health science major, however, it has really been reinforced that healthy living can add years and quality to your life. I am immensely interested in this program because it helps children learn how to eat healthy from an early age and start these habits as soon as possible. I can’t wait to teach these tips and tricks to my family!

Hi, my name is Meredith! I will be assisting in fundraising activities and maintain the social media pages for Eat To Thrive and Real Kids Real Food. I believe that my love of lifting weights, unprocessed foods, and public health will help to advance our program goals because I am able to maintain a unique perspective on the importance of nutrition in preventive medicine and overall wellbeing as a whole. While my passion lies within the gym, I also enjoy spending time at the beach, walking my Golden Retrievers, and catching up with friends. I am currently a senior at Boston University studying Health Science and I plan to enroll in medical school to pursue a career in clinical medicine in the future. I am extremely excited to work with everyone involved in our programs!
